A new music video from rapper Travis Scott would be a pretty good advertisement for Elon Musk companies.
While Scott is a Grammy-nominated musician and a regular in celebrity gossip publications, the star of his recent video was the Tesla Cybertruck. In addition to Tesla’s futuristic pickup prototype, the video also shows Scott riding the “Cyberquad” ATV while firing the Boring Company “Not-a-Flamethrower.”
The video is for the song “Gang Gang.” It appears shots featuring the Cybertruck and Cyberquad were filmed at Tesla’s Design Center in Hawthorne, Calif.
At first, it looked like the truck was off to a rough start when during its unveiling, one of its windows was shattered. Musk had been boasting about the strength of the truck as it withstood several blows from a sledgehammer.
However, all of a sudden, a steel ball lodged, causing the glass to shatter. Musk took to Twitter to explain what had happened.
Musk wrote: “Sledgehammer impact on door cracked base of glass, which is why steel ball didn’t bounce off.” It seemed that his explanation was sufficient as pre-orders grew impressively.
The question now remains, will these cameos in Scott’s video bring even more pre-orders, or are they just fun to watch?
